Author's Bio

QKalíque hails from Charlotte, NC.  A graduate of Clark Atlanta University in 2003 with a major in English and Spanish, he has been in Atlanta ever since.  He has a passion for working with children in outdoor settings as he believes, “the great outdoors is the best classroom in which a child can learn.”  However, he is currently a High School English teacher and a recent graduate of Georgia State University’s graduate Master’s program from the College of Education.  QKalique began writing poetry when he was 8 years old, and later moved on to reports and short stories.  When he was 18 he decided that if he was going to be a writer then he should start at that very moment, and he did.  His first novel, SOUL, remains unfinished.  It was not until he gave in to the truth of his fantastical visions of the world around him did he begin writing THE BEANSTALK.  He has since finished the sequel.  It is entitled, THE WITCH AND HER ARMY OF SHADOWS.
